Monsieur flew from Heathrow’s Terminal 5 for the first time yesterday. Being a bit of a plane-spotter, I was keen to hear all about it, so when he called me last night, I got the low-down. It didn’t take very long.
“Well, darling, it’s basically a big shopping centre with a runway. It’s as if someone has taken all the shops from High Street Kensington and plonked them into an airport.” Monsieur was non-plussed by the whole experience.
My turn to visit Terminal 5 comes tomorrow, on my way to meet Monsieur. I think I’ll get to the airport extra early… Sounds like there’s plenty to do there and besides, I have a weird thing for airports. Let’s just hope we don’t have any issues with my bag.
